Nothando Mngomezulu

Dr Dion & Ps Joy Sibanda

Nothando is the founder of A Remnant and the author of the 21-Day Journey devotional, a powerful guide birthed from her own healing after deep ministry wounds.

A prophetic voice and a passionate intercessor, she carries a mantle to see the broken restored and the silenced re-commissioned. Her story is one of heartbreak, encounter, and redemption – proof that God still heals leaders, still restores callings, and still raises up a remnant.

Through every page, prayer, and gathering, Nothando invites others into the same healing journey she walked through: one marked by truth, honour, and wholeness.

Dr Dion and Pastor Joy Sibanda have been in ministry for 21 Years and Nothando Mngomezulu submits under their covering. They met Nothando at her most broken vulnerable stage and have had the privilege to walk with Nothando in her journey of brokenness and wholeness. God used them greatly at the birth of A Remnant and they have walked the program with Nothando. Even now they continue walking the path of restoring people to Jesus through the A Remnant program.

Our Beliefs

The Word of God

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word β€” the foundation for truth, healing, and transformation. Every page reveals the heart of the Father, the grace of Jesus, and the power of the Spirit.

πŸ“– Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16, Psalm 119:105

We believe in one eternal God β€” Father, Son, and Holy Spirit β€” perfectly unified and distinct in role. The Father draws, the Son redeems, and the Spirit restores. Together, they work in love to bring healing, truth, and transformation to the wounded and the called.

The Trinity is not just a doctrine β€” it is the foundation of every part of the journey we walk:

  • We are loved by the Father,

  • Healed through Jesus,

  • And empowered by the Spirit.

πŸ“– Matthew 28:19, John 14:16–17, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Genesis 1:26

We believe in God the Father β€” perfect in love, holy in nature, and faithful in every promise. He is not a distant ruler, but a present and personal Father who sees, heals, and restores. To the wounded, He is safety. To the shamed, He is affirmation. To the weary, He is strength.Β He sent His Son to rescue the broken, and He welcomes the remnant home with open arms.

πŸ“– Luke 15:20, Psalm 68:5–6, Matthew 6:9, James 1:17, 2 Corinthians 1:3–4

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God β€” the healer of hearts, restorer of identity, and the only one who can bring wholeness to the wounded soul. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, died as the atoning sacrifice, and rose again in victory. We believe He still heals today β€” body, soul, and spirit.

πŸ“– Matthew 11:28–30, Isaiah 53:5, Colossians 1:15–20, John 14:6

We believe the Holy Spirit is our comforter, teacher, and guide β€” the one who convicts, empowers, and restores. He leads us into all truth, reveals Jesus, and brings freedom where there was bondage.

πŸ“– John 14:26, Romans 8:11, 2 Corinthians 3:17, Acts 1:8

We believe healing is God’s will: spiritual, emotional, physical, and generational.
We contend for freedom from the effects of spiritual abuse, leadership trauma, church hurt, and lies that have shaped identity.

πŸ“– Luke 4:18, James 5:14–16, Psalm 147:3, Isaiah 61

We believe in the Church, not as a building, but as the Body of Christ. We believe God is calling out a remnant from within the Church: those who’ve been wounded in ministry and are now being healed for a greater purpose.

πŸ“– Ephesians 4:11–16, Romans 11:5, 1 Peter 2:9–10

We believe that those God heals, He sends. We exist not just to find wholeness, but to help others do the same. A Remnant rises not for revenge, but for redemption.

πŸ“– Romans 11:5, Joel 2:25–26, Revelation 12:11

THE HEART BEHIND A REMNANT

In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s house will be the highest of allβ€”the most important place on earth. It will be raised above the other hills, and people from all over the world will stream there to worship…

β€œIn that coming day,” says the Lord, β€œI will gather together those who are lame, those who have been exiles, and those whom I have filled with grief. Those who are weak will survive as a remnant; those who were exiles will become a strong nation. Then I, the Lord, will rule from Jerusalem as their king forever.”

Micah 4:1, 6–7
